The primary focus of this unit is the re-granulation of post-industrial plastic scrap. The purpose of the service is to collect post-industrial plastic scrap (e.g. injection moulding runners, plastic regrind, rejected plastic parts, etc.), reprocess the scrap material into extruded granules/pellets, and return the granules to our customers for reprocessing.
The ultimate goal being the 100% reuse of industrial plastic scrap. Other advantages include the significant enhancement of our customers' processing efficiencies. Improvements are registered due to reduced machine downtime, improved process stability, and the removal of the need for mixing of regrind and virgin material. Moreover, this process helps MCL to achieve is sustainability objectives and environmental targets. |
Plastic recycling - size reduction (shredding and grinding)
For larger parts (e.g. plastic pallets/crates), MCL offers the possibility for in-line shredding and grinding. This is also required in order to arrive at a material size that is suitable as an input to the extrusion process. This shred-grind-extrude activity is a seamless process that takes an input material (e.g. plastic pallet) straight through to the plastic granule in a fully automated manner.
Shredding and grinding services can also be offered independently.
Range of thermoplastics
We can process a wide range of thermoplastic materials - ABS, PP, PBT, TPE, EVA, SAN, PEHD, PELD, PELLD, POM, PC.
This is not an exhaustive list. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have a material that is not on this list.
